Fitness Series: 365 to 13.1

As I mentioned in my previous post, I will begin training to run a half marathon this time next year. Now I'm not going to lie, I'm scared. Not just scared, y'all, I'm freaked the heck out! I didn't even LIKE running at one time in my life, so what makes me think this will be a good idea???

Well, lately I have been walking and using the "Charity Miles" app on my iPhone (there is an Android app as well). Another great Pinterest find, this wonderful app tracks walks, runs, or bike rides, and corporate sponsors donate money to charity based on the number of miles completed. And in the process of working hard and pushing myself to go longer and faster for charity, I realized, I might as well train toward a goal.

So here it is: my goal is to slap this sticker on the back of the car as a symbol of my ability to put mind over matter and make things happen!
